Religion is often associated with top-down parent/child, teacher/student relations. However, some Muslim families see child-centered learning as inspired by and aligned with their faith. What is the intersection - if any - between Islamic spirituality and child-centered education? What does Islamic spirituality say about the nature of children? What new meanings can Islamic spirituality bring to the wider child-centered learning community? And how has the wider child-centered learning community influenced Muslim’s understanding of their practice?

In this event, Moneer Moukaddem (a Free We Grow father & director) will host a panel of Muslim leaders - all of whom are passionate initiators of child-led learning projects in their communities - to share personal perspectives followed by a relaxed Q&A.
